Ronnie Schwann, a young man in his twenties, enjoys a laid-back existence in a guesthouse located behind his mother’s residence. They bond over shared habits like smoking, drug use, and excessive TV watching. By day, Ronnie is employed at a halfway house for individuals with mental illnesses, where he becomes infatuated with a patient named Sarah.
