Reopening Night

This documentary chronicles the journey of the cast, crew, and team at the renowned Public Theater as they get ready to stage an all-black version of Shakespeare’s “Merry Wives” at the outdoor Delacorte Theater in New York City. Facing the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19 and experiencing one of the wettest Julys in history, this production signifies the revival of live theater after over a year of shutdowns in the city.
