When you think of Pauly Shore, films like Bio-Dome and Encino Man might come to mind, but there’s more depth to his easygoing image than you might expect. Growing up as the child of the proprietors of the iconic comedy venue, “The Comedy Store” on Sunset Strip, Pauly Shore shares his distinctive upbringing with the audience. Imagine having Sam Kinison as your babysitter or Andrew Dice Clay as your sister’s boyfriend. The show is enriched by appearances from several of Shore’s friends, including Iliza Shlesinger, the winner of “Last Comic Standing”; Steve Rannazzisi from “The League”; Carl LaBove, a ‘Comedy Store’ legend and Sam Kinison’s closest friend; and, naturally, Pauly’s best friend and father, Sammy Shore, who proudly claims credit for introducing Pauly to the world of comedy.
