Out Of The Woods

Matt, a self-centered young lawyer, travels to see his grandfather, an eccentric hermit living in the wilderness without modern conveniences like gas, electricity, or a phone. Matt’s goal is to persuade his grandfather not to donate his estate. However, it is Matt who ends up rethinking his own life choices. The film stars Jason London and Ed Asner. When a woman needs someone to care for her elderly father (played by Ed Asner), her unreliable son isn’t her ideal candidate. Matt (played by Jason London) struggles with his career, love life, and finances, making him an unlikely choice to check on his grandfather. Yet, out of necessity, Matt visits his grandfather’s remote home. Adjusting to this minimalist lifestyle is challenging for Matt, but he encounters a single mother who helps him appreciate the simplicity of life.
