In the 1980s, several priests, including Father Geoghan, were apprehended for sexually abusing minors. Cardinal Law, who was also charged, and the diocese had knowledge of these clergy members’ misconduct but concealed it for years. Eventually, the victims chose to come forward and seek justice.
