Jude, a talented and ambitious musician dreaming of rock stardom, finds herself trapped in a monotonous routine, creating jingles for advertisements and drifting through fleeting romantic encounters. After being kicked out of her Brooklyn apartment, she has no choice but to relocate to the Hamptons residence of her affluent and self-centered father, Paul Lombard. Paul, a once-famous singer reminiscent of Sinatra, is desperately trying to revive his music career.
