Ministry of Love

A sharp-witted comedy centered on relationships and bureaucracy. Kreso finds himself at a crossroads. As a qualified biologist approaching middle age, he is disenchanted, unemployed, and trapped in a marriage that likely should never have begun. At least his son still admires him. Meanwhile, the financially struggling government is seeking innovative ways to cut costs, and now, more than two decades after the war of the 1990s, it targets the widows of fallen soldiers. Those who are unmarried but in new relationships will lose their military pensions. Implementing such an unpopular policy necessitates the creation of a new department: The Ministry of Love, tasked with gathering information on widows violating the new rule. With nothing to lose, Kreso is nominated by his assertive father-in-law. The only issue is that, along with his quirky partner, Sikic, he is entirely unsuited for the role.
