Merantau

“Merantau,” directed by Gareth Evans, follows the journey of Yuda, a young practitioner of the Indonesian martial art Silat, as he leaves his village for the traditional rite of passage known as “merantau.” In the bustling city of Jakarta, Yuda becomes an unexpected hero when he intervenes to protect a young woman from a dangerous human trafficking ring, leading to a series of intense and action-packed confrontations.
