Love Is a Verb

“Love Is A Verb” explores a global social movement rooted in Sufi-inspired Sunni Islam that originated in Turkey during the 1960s. Known as Hizmet, which translates to “service” in Turkish, or The Gülen Movement, it draws its name from its founder and spiritual guide, Fethullah Gülen. In 2013, TIME magazine recognized Gülen as one of the world’s most influential leaders for his advocacy of tolerance.
