How I Got Lost

“HOW I GOT LOST” is a poignant yet optimistic tale about Andrew and Jake, two friends navigating personal loss amidst larger life events. Andrew is that friend who persuades you to join in, even when you know better. Despite his talent, he seems to have nothing to lose, spiraling out of control while maintaining a strong ambition to succeed as a Wall Street trader. His closest friend, Jake, is nursing a broken heart and writing about sports instead of pursuing fiction. He tries to manage the chaos Andrew creates until he unexpectedly encounters his unpredictable ex, Sarah. Andrew then persuades Jake to leave New York for an aimless road trip. They take a cab to Philadelphia and borrow Andrew’s mother’s station wagon. However, when they run out of gas in Pennsylvania, Andrew discloses the true purpose of their journey—his father has passed away, and he feels unable to face the funeral alone.
