Ferdinand, a long-time worker at Fish Land, the aquarium section of the international leisure hub “Worlds Apart,” is a reserved, anxious introvert in his forties, completely absorbed in his love for fish. His routine is disrupted when Fish Land shuts down for half a year for renovations, and he is reassigned to the Finnish-Turkish Delight spa, a place dedicated to saunas and steam rooms. Suddenly, Ferdinand finds himself in an environment filled with nudity, sensuality, and relaxation—everything he fears! “HOT HOT HOT” follows the delayed coming-of-age journey of this inhibited man as he gradually learns to embrace life’s pleasures. The film offers a vivid yet thoughtful depiction of a world balancing between the artificial and the genuine, the conventional and the unusual.
