Highway to Hellas

Jorg Geissner, a German banker, experiences a complete upheaval in his life when he travels to Paladiki Island in Greece. His journey, intended as a business trip to assess a project dubbed “Galapagos in Greece” by the locals, is tied to a loan and credit provided by his bank. As a diligent German, Jorg aims to conduct a thorough investigation, but he faces resistance from Panos, a mini-mart owner, and the mayor, who are determined to obstruct his efforts and conceal an unpleasant truth. Despite their covert interference, which thwarts each of his attempts, Jorg’s stay on the island stretches out, reminiscent of The Odyssey, compelling him to reassess his life’s priorities and responsibilities.
