Cory, a 12-year-old “altar boy” struggling with anxiety and guilt after his father’s murder, is teetering on the edge of depression. His daring best friend, Ben, encourages him to demonstrate their maturity by going on their inaugural overnight fishing adventure in the untamed Mississippi Bayou’s Wolf River. However, their plans take a dangerous turn when the unsuspecting “altar boys” find themselves caught in the crosshairs of a ruthless hitman executing a mob hit to settle a gambling debt.
