Florent, a 23-year-old from Paris, encounters Alessia, a disoriented American from Texas, by chance on the streets of Paris. At a pivotal moment in their lives—having just finished college—both are caught between the opportunities of a globalized world and the constraints and duties of adulthood amidst global economic challenges. Florent aspires to go to America, while Alessia yearns for France, fulfilling her mother’s unachieved dream.
