Gran Torino
“Gran Torino,” directed by Clint Eastwood, follows the story of Walt Kowalski, a grizzled Korean War veteran living in a changing neighborhood, who forms an unlikely friendship with a young Hmong teenager named Thao after the boy attempts to steal his prized 1972 Gran Torino. As Walt becomes a reluctant protector and mentor to Thao and his family, he confronts his own prejudices and finds a sense of redemption.
