Rod and Katherine Wright are supposedly relishing their retirement in Florida, though in reality, Rod is restless with nothing to occupy his time, and Katherine longs for her children back home, especially with the holiday season fast approaching. Fortunately, they’ve bonded with their new neighbor, Lisa, who shares their love for golden retrievers. Their dog, Jake, now has three new puppy pals: Mario, Luigi, and Pasquale. However, during a walk with Lisa, Jake and the puppies disrupt a wedding proposal, and Lisa is shocked to find that the proposer is her childhood friend-turned-boyfriend-turned-ex, David. It’s clear to everyone that David and Lisa are destined for each other—everyone except David and Lisa themselves. With David’s wedding on the horizon, they must decide whether to leave their past romance behind or rekindle it. With some assistance from Rod, Katherine, and four adorable dogs, this Christmas promises to be unforgettable.
