Having worked in the sex trade since she was 16, Kam has experienced both the peaks and valleys of life in Hong Kong over the years. Now, she has transitioned into the role of a “madam,” overseeing a group of elite escorts and organizing lavish gatherings for wealthy clients. While she outwardly embraces the affluence of the ‘New Hong Kong,’ she, like many middle-class residents, mourns the loss of the old Hong Kong that was once for the people. Meanwhile, Gordon, an aging crime boss, was incarcerated before the 1997 Hong Kong Handover. His appearance and mindset remain entrenched in the colonial era. Recently freed from prison, he struggles to adjust to the New Hong Kong, finding comfort only in his past relationship with Kam.
