Goldberg & Eisenberg
Goldberg is a slight, bespectacled man who leads a solitary life. As an average computer programmer residing in Tel Aviv, he devotes much of his time to scouring the internet in hopes of finding a romantic partner. His sole companion is Audrey, his cherished dog. On the other hand, Eisenberg is a burly, somewhat unhinged man nearing middle age. He spends his time loitering in Meir Park, where he intimidates passersby and engages in shady dealings with minor criminals. Fate brings Goldberg and Eisenberg together, and Eisenberg takes an interest in spending time with Goldberg, hinting at a desire for a deeper connection. This narrative explores the unsettling encounters with strangers that breed anxiety and paranoia, the isolation of urban life, and the unraveling of one’s sense of control.
