Ghoul
In the spirit of Stephen King’s Stand by Me, Chiller’s original film Ghoul—adapted from the acclaimed novel by Brian Keene—narrates the tale of three troubled kids who embark on a quest to uncover the cause behind a series of local disappearances. Featuring Nolan Gould from Modern Family, the movie delves into the sinister aspects lurking beneath the surface of small-town life. Set in the summer of 1984, the story begins with a teenage couple vanishing amidst the tombstones of the local graveyard. Twelve-year-old Timmy, along with his closest friends Barry and Doug, have grown up hearing eerie tales of a menacing Ghoul that prowls the cemetery. As events unfold, they start to question whether the terrifying legend might be true. Timmy and his friends must challenge their friendship to its limits as they unearth long-hidden secrets, confronting both their inner fears and the entity lurking below.
