Frozen River

“Frozen River,” directed by Courtney Hunt, is a gripping drama that follows Ray Eddy, a struggling mother in upstate New York, who forms an unlikely partnership with a Mohawk woman, Lila Littlewolf, to smuggle illegal immigrants across the frozen St. Lawrence River.
