HISTORY, in collaboration with Nitro Circus, has announced a revised format for the live television event “Evel Live 2,” scheduled for Sunday, July 7. This change comes after renowned freestyle motocross athlete Axell Hodges suffered a crash during a practice attempt for the longest motorcycle jump ever recorded. Emulating the legendary daredevil Evel Knievel, Hodges aimed to surpass the 2011 record of 378 feet and 9 inches set by Robbie Maddison. Unfortunately, he sustained severe injuries to both ankles before the live broadcast. The updated show, airing at 9pm ET, will feature exclusive footage of Hodges’ crash, while four-time X Games Medalist Vicki Golden will strive to achieve a new world record with a spectacular live motorcycle firewall stunt.
