Corações Sujos
In 1945, while the world believed Japan had surrendered to the United States, marking the end of World War II, a different narrative unfolded among the Japanese community in Brazil. For eighty percent of them, Japan’s victory was a reality, and the notion of defeat was dismissed as American propaganda. Those few who acknowledged the truth faced persecution, with some being hunted and killed by their fellow countrymen, igniting a new, internal conflict. “Dirty Hearts” is a gripping thriller and love story narrated by the wife of a fervent believer in Japan’s triumph. She gradually witnesses her diligent immigrant husband transform into a killer, as their once-strong love story begins to unravel.
