In 1986, a troubled teenager named Henry grapples with his sexual identity and a difficult home environment. While sitting in his closet, overwhelmed by thoughts of suicide, he is suddenly whisked away in a burst of light to the year 2016. There, he encounters Ben, a teenager who now resides in his old room, three decades into the future.
