Chronicle Mysteries: Recovered

Alex McPherson (Sweeney) heads back to the quaint Pennsylvania town where she spent her childhood summers to work on the latest installment of her true crime podcast, focusing on the mysterious vanishing of a friend from her youth two decades ago. Partnering with the hesitant local newspaper editor (Ayres), she embarks on a journey to piece together the girl’s final movements. In doing so, Alex not only reveals the startling reality behind her friend’s disappearance but also stumbles upon an old murder and its subsequent concealment.
