Chi-Raq

“Chi-Raq,” directed by Spike Lee, is a modern-day adaptation of the ancient Greek play “Lysistrata” by Aristophanes, set against the backdrop of gang violence in Chicago. The film follows a group of women, led by Lysistrata, who organize a sex strike to protest the ongoing violence and bring attention to the urgent need for peace in their community.
