Charlotte
The narrative follows the real-life journey of Charlotte Salomon, a young Jewish painter from Germany, as she matures in Berlin just before the outbreak of World War II. With a vivid imagination and exceptional talent, she aspires to pursue a career in art. Her initial romantic interest supports her artistic abilities, strengthening her determination. However, as anti-Semitic laws incite violent uprisings, she flees to the relative safety of Southern France. There, she resumes painting and discovers a new romance. Convinced that only a remarkable act can save her, she sets out on the ambitious journey of illustrating her life story.
