Blanka Kolak’s Love
During the tumultuous era of World War II, Blanka weds Pavle, a prominent political figure, who is soon imprisoned on Goli Otok for his political beliefs. Blanka, passionate about photography, gains independence and starts a photography studio with Laco. However, she soon discovers that Laco is not who he claims to be. When Pavle returns from prison, their relationship is strained by political interference, leading to a cold distance and misunderstanding between them. Blanka turns to alcohol to escape her mounting troubles and attempts to seduce her only male friend, but even this last hope for love is disrupted. Is every romance in Blanka Kolak’s life doomed to fail? Can love truly exist, and is life worth living without it?
