Birthday Cake

This feature-length film serves as a sequel to the highly acclaimed short film, GROOM’S CAKE. Presented in a mockumentary style, it chronicles the three days leading up to the first birthday celebration of a child with two fathers: TV actor Steven James and his husband, screenwriter Daniel Ferguson. The movie explores themes of both the families we are born into and those we build ourselves.
