Besa: The Promise

This documentary delves into the courageous actions of Albanians, many of whom were Muslims, who risked their lives to protect and provide refuge to Jewish individuals during World War II. It also follows the journey of an Albanian baker’s son as he attempts to return Hebrew books left behind by a Jewish family that his father sheltered for a year.
