After She Wakes

Following the devastating loss of her infant son, a narcoleptic mother and her young daughter grapple with overwhelming sorrow and persistent sleep disturbances. They endure various parasomnia episodes, such as night terrors and sleep paralysis, which render them immobile and force them to confront terrifying hallucinations. These unsettling nightmares blur the lines between dreams and reality, leading the mother to suspect that a mysterious presence is observing her as she sleeps. Gradually, the horrifying images from their dreams start to intrude into their waking life, leaving the mother exposed and defenseless.
