Addiction: A 60’s Love Story

Based on real events, “Dynamite: A Cautionary Tale” centers on Max Bornstein, a devoted family man who, in 1968 New York City, led a double life as a full-time drug addict involved in the illicit pornography trade. As he transported books and films to various delivery points and mob locations along the East Coast, Max found himself pursued by federal agents. Despite the looming federal investigation, Max’s greatest concern was his wife and two young children, who were unaware of his true circumstances as his world began to collapse. Struggling with his overpowering addiction, a disintegrating family, and growing suspicions about his drug use among his peers, Max watches powerlessly as his carefully constructed facade crumbles, leaving him searching for a way out.
