A Simple Curve

Caleb, a 27-year-old raised in the stunning Kootenay region by his free-spirited, nature-loving parents, deeply admires his father Jim’s passion for woodworking, coriander, and soy products. However, he struggles to comprehend Jim’s persistent knack for financial failure. As a perpetually unsuccessful entrepreneur, Jim’s decisions continually jeopardize their carpentry business, leaving Caleb, the junior partner, unable to prevent the financial ruin. When Matthew, an old acquaintance of Jim’s, arrives in the area with plans to build a luxury fishing lodge, Caleb sees a chance for prosperity—if only he can keep his father preoccupied. Yet, a minor deceit spirals into a major betrayal, forcing Caleb to confront the pivotal moment when he must assert himself and tell his father to step aside.
