A Novel Romance

Nate Shepherd, in his late 40s, and Jenny Sparks, in her early 30s, cross paths at an upscale restaurant in New York. Both are complete strangers who have endured a tough day and are anticipating the arrival of their significant others. During their conversation, they disclose that they are each meeting someone new that evening, only to soon discover that they are actually waiting for one another. After Nate is let go from his comfortable position at an advertising firm and subsequently loses his girlfriend, and Jenny’s boyfriend succumbs to a drug overdose, Nate’s girlfriend proposes that they become roommates to share living expenses and support each other through their hardships. As their bond deepens, it evolves into a loving yet complex relationship.
