A Hitman’s Solitude Before the Shot
The overly ambitious Koralnik holds what many would consider a dream position: he’s an assassin for a clandestine EU initiative. However, despite completing his training eight years ago, he has yet to carry out a single assignment. Stuck in a rut of boredom and frustration, he adheres to the programme’s stringent guidelines—living a reclusive life, avoiding social interactions, and always staying undercover. His monotonous routine is disrupted when the timid Rosa unexpectedly collides with his car and enters his life. Suddenly, Koralnik finds himself sharing a meal with her, offering him a rare escape from his dreary existence through an evening of companionship. But the moment is interrupted by a phone call—his first assignment has finally arrived. Accompanied by Rosa, Koralnik embarks on a tumultuous journey through a night where nothing unfolds as anticipated. The situation takes a dramatic turn when Koralnik discovers that his target is actually one of his fellow operatives, forcing him to reevaluate the rigid principles that have governed his life. He faces a critical choice: to safeguard the secrecy of the programme or to abandon his unfulfilled life as an assassin.
