The Eel

“The Eel,” directed by Shôhei Imamura, follows the story of Takuro Yamashita, a man who, after serving an eight-year prison sentence for murder, seeks redemption and a new beginning by opening a barbershop in a small town. As he forms a bond with a mysterious woman named Keiko, both characters confront their pasts and search for forgiveness and healing.
