Jan Dara: The Finale

Based on a well-known Thai erotic novel, the film narrates the tale of Jan, a young boy raised in a household dominated by his cruel and immoral father, Luang Wisnan. Set in the 1930s, the story explores Jan’s tumultuous journey to adulthood. His mother dies during childbirth, leaving him to face the intense disdain of his father. Jan is brought up by his stepmother, Aunt Wad, and grapples with feelings of guilt and desire as he interacts with various women in his life. Among them is a girl named Hyacinth, whom he deeply admires, and later, Madame Boonleung, his father’s mistress, who plays a pivotal role in Jan’s sexual awakening.
