After Jessie’s father is killed, her sister Lena becomes an unintended victim, believed to have died in an accidental gas leak. Jessie and her mother, Anna, relocate to a new area where they meet Kylie and her mother, Tanya. Anna sees Kylie as a potential substitute for her lost daughter.
