The film explores the chaotic love lives of four women residing in The Hague. Teenage Eva, her mother Judith, aunt Barbara, and older sister Anna all share a home, navigating their relationships together. These women are attractive, brave, and wise, yet they often find themselves lost in a world filled with gentle romance, frequent dating, fleeting passions, affairs, the longing for children, and enduring past loves.
