L’autre maison

Mathieu Roy’s “L’Autre maison” is a deeply moving family drama that showcases the talents of three generations of esteemed Quebec actors. Marcel Sabourin portrays Henri Bernard, an 86-year-old man struggling with his grasp on reality. His sons, a globe-trotting middle-aged photojournalist (played by Roy Dupuis) and a younger aspiring pilot (Emile Proulx-Cloutier), clash over how to care for their father. The family is forced to unite more than ever when the photojournalist’s translator is killed by an IED in Afghanistan.
