Ai de mian bao hun
Gao-bing is employed at a bakery in a small town, where the owner, Mr. Chiu, is more focused on his Rock ‘n’ Roll band than the business, and the apprentice, Di, lacks interest in learning the craft of baking. As the bakery’s fortunes decline, Gao-bing is at a loss for solutions and resorts to working harder and producing more bread. Ping, Mr. Chiu’s daughter and Gao-bing’s girlfriend, grew up alongside him. She frequently criticizes Gao-bing for sticking to traditional methods and not taking bold steps to rescue the bakery. To create innovative new flavors, Ping enrolls in baking classes in the city, where she encounters Bread. Bread, an American with a captivating and witty personality, is immediately smitten with Ping. Although Ping is in a relationship with Gao-bing, she is enchanted by Bread’s unique baking skills and believes he might be the key to revitalizing the bakery.
