Johnny and Tanner are siblings who grew up in a family plagued by violence, with a father who is a ruthless psychopath. One tragic day, their father’s abuse towards their mother escalates, leading to a devastating incident. As a result, Tanner ends up in prison, while Johnny is placed in foster care, where he finally experiences a stable and loving environment. Years later, Johnny (played by Scott Waugh) is a college student with promising grades and a bright future, whereas Tanner (portrayed by Sean Graham) is attempting to escape a life of crime. Tanner reaches out to Johnny, requesting his support at a parole hearing in Hollywood. Johnny agrees, only to realize that the hearing is not in nearby Hollywood, California, but in Hollywood, Florida, on the opposite side of the country. Despite the mix-up, Johnny is committed to his promise, and the brothers set off in Tanner’s old Lincoln Continental with just 12 dollars, hoping fortune will lead them safely to the East Coast.
