In 1958 Manhattan, Miriam “Midge” Maisel seems to have it all: an ideal husband, children, and a beautiful apartment on the Upper West Side. However, when her life unexpectedly changes course, Midge is forced to begin anew. In doing so, she uncovers a hidden talent that propels her from performing in the comedy clubs of Greenwich Village to making an appearance on Johnny Carson’s show.
