Television producer Da-hye endured a difficult upbringing, marked by constant arguments between her parents, which eventually led to their divorce. Despite her troubled past, Da-hye found happiness when she met her ideal partner and became engaged. However, on a rainy evening just before her birthday, Da-hye’s friend Ji-seok requested a lift from her fiancé. Upon arriving, her fiancé discovered that Ji-seok had already been picked up by his sister, Ji-min. As Da-hye’s fiancé returned to his vehicle, he was struck by a motorcycle. The motorcyclist then deliberately turned back and tragically ran over him, resulting in his death.
