Yu shi shang tong ju

Imagine a comedic twist on “The Devil Wears Prada,” where the iconic role played by Meryl Streep is reimagined with Chinese actor and 1980s Hong Kong pop sensation Alan Tam. The story follows Zhou Xiaohui, an up-and-coming journalist who has earned accolades from Alex, leading to his recruitment by Ming Shang Magazine three years prior. As Zhou Xiaohui’s star continues to rise, Alex starts to perceive him as a threat and devises a plan to have him dismissed. Outraged by the betrayal, Zhou Xiaohui departs from Ming Shang, taking Assistant Editor Yinghong and Xiaopang with him, and launches his own fashion publication, Modern Magazine, with financial backing from his close friend Wuyang.
