This feature-length documentary serves as a companion piece to the 2012 film ‘Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap’. It presents a powerful narrative about the harsh realities of life and mortality in South Central Los Angeles. The film explores the challenges faced by those living in the shadow of Hollywood’s glamour, where government assistance often arrives with the sound of sirens. It was honored with the World Cinema Documentary Editing Award at the Amsterdam Film Festival in 2014.
