In a remarkable year of heavy snowfall, a group of five friends decides to set aside their everyday routines to embark on a trek along California’s historic John Muir Trail. This 211-mile path stretches from Yosemite to Mt. Whitney, the tallest peak in the contiguous United States. Their mission is to complete this adventure in 25 days, all while documenting the breathtaking sights and sounds they experience. Motivated by their camaraderie, humor, creativity, and commitment, the group expands to welcome other artists, musicians, and thrill-seekers. As they approach the summit, both the hikers and the audience come to realize the truth of the saying: it’s the journey that matters, not the destination. “Mile… Mile & A Half” is the feature-length documentary that chronicles this expedition.
