Fourteen-year-old Tommy Schooner hails from a family deeply immersed in the world of skateboarding. His parents own Modern Skate, a burgeoning skateboard company on the brink of a significant meeting with a major investment firm led by Mr. Hoffman. Tommy’s sister is not only a professional skateboarder but also the public face of the company. Even their dog, Buddy, is a skilled skater. While practicing with Buddy, Tommy accidentally collides with Frankie, a 17-year-old local skater known for being a bully. This encounter leads to a heated exchange, and Tommy ends up challenging Frankie to a skate-off. However, Tommy lacks both his father’s enthusiasm and his sister’s talent, and the competition is just five days away. With dedicated practice and support from his best friend Alice and his loyal dog Buddy, Tommy might just be able to prepare in time for the showdown—and perhaps learn a valuable lesson about integrity in the process.
