The Christmas Contract

Jolie (Burton) is returning to her hometown in Louisiana for the first time since her painful breakup with Foster (Burke). Since their families jointly organize the town’s annual Christmas Market, encountering him is unavoidable. When Jolie learns that Foster is bringing a new girlfriend, the thought of facing them alone is unbearable. Her best friend, Naomi (Ackles), proposes that Jolie invite her unreliable brother, Jack (Buckley), to join her for the holidays, as he has no other plans. Jolie, a skilled web designer, is reluctant, so Naomi, who is a lawyer, drafts a Christmas contract to benefit them both—providing Jolie with a companion to ease the awkwardness around her ex and offering Jack a website to promote his forthcoming novel. However, the Christmas contract turns out to be far more significant than they initially anticipated.
