Extreme Rules (2016) is an anticipated professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event organized by WWE. Scheduled for May 22, 2016, it will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Initially planned for May 1, 2016, at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, the event exchanged dates and locations with Payback. This will mark the eighth installment in the Extreme Rules series.
