Jack Sparks is addicted to uncovering stories, always on the hunt for the one that hasn’t been told yet. As a reporter for his local cable TV show, “The Untold Story,” airing on channel 23, he has amassed a vast collection of narratives from his coastal hometown. Despite his extensive experience, Jack is still in search of the story that will catapult his career to new heights. He is a solitary figure, tirelessly working towards his goal day and night. When an anonymous source tips him off about “the truly significant untold story,” Jack seizes the chance to break free from his usual routine. His investigation leads him to a band named Steve Phoenix. Before long, Jack is deeply embedded with this local group (portrayed, fittingly, by the actual local rock band Steve Phoenix).
